I purchased this for the low price [compare it to the other duvets], and because it looked colorful and unique ( as I am).I have an old comforter. So old that I'm not even sure if it's down filled, because of how flattened it is. Covered with some man-made material. It is king sized. After putting my old comforter in this new DENY designs duvet, [check out the DENY website to see how expensive their products are] it miraculously turned into a heavy, warm and cozy. comforter. The best thing about it is the wonderfully soft and touchable material both sides are made with. I use to cover myself with my cotton sheet under the comforter, but now I want this delicious material to be on my skin. Getting under it; especially now, in Boston MA Jan. 3 2014 where temps are around 6 degrees and lower, I am filled with gratitude that I made this purchase. Somehow it made that old comforter much, much warmer as well! One of the best things I've gotten on Amazon. The pattern is interesting and colorful. Some kind of map of eastern Europe, the Ural mountains etc., but frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn when I'm cozy and warm!Feb.16 2015 Right now....1 year later; with the worst winter in 20 years, here in Boston, again, I must reiterate my good fortune. With below zero temps for the past few nights, ( and that's before adding the wind chill factor), I cover any exposed epidermis (and I have slept in the buff for almost 50 years) with the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the concept of soft; the material that this duvet; that's really a comforter/duvet; is made of. I have been drifting away into blissful sleep as the frigid wind that accompanies the Boston blizzard of 2015, howls outside my window. My wonderful home is on the ground floor of what use to be the original Boston Herald building. It's across the street from Boston Common with the beautiful pond made famous by the children's book "Make Way for Ducklings" about two blocks away. The relatively new Ritz-Carleton is built right next door. This created a wind tunnel on an already, pre-Ritz, windy corner; making it 'wicked cold' as Bostonians, say, when it smacks you in the face. Frostbite warnings have kept me inside, however, and I just thank whatever higher power or just plain luck led me to this purchase! L.S.Schwartz 2/16/2015
